The star of Gen V and Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, Chance Perdomo, passed away. His age was 27. According to a statement from his agents to The Hollywood Reporter, the actor passed away in a motorbike accident. The accident did not involve any other parties.
Chance Perdomo: Gen v
Perdomo most recently starred in Gen V, a Prime Video spinoff of The Boys, where he played Godolkin University’s popular student Andre Anderson, who has the ability to manipulate objects magnetically.
“We’re finding it difficult to comprehend this,” the show’s creators said in a statement. Chance was a tremendously skilled performer, a charming and smiling individual, and above all, a really kind and loving guy, according to those of us who knew and worked with him. It doesn’t even make sense to write about him in the past tense. We are mourning the loss of our friend and coworker and are deeply sorry for Chance’s family. Tonight, give your loved ones a hug.
The production companies for Gen V, Amazon MGM Studios and Sony Pictures Television, released a statement in which they said, “The sudden passing of Chance Perdomo has devastated the entire Gen V family.” We at Sony Pictures Television and Amazon MGM Studios send our deepest condolences and solidarity to Chance’s family and all those who knew him during this trying time.
The Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina
The actor portrays the endearing Ambrose Spellman, Sabrina’s (Kiernan Shipka) cousin, in Netflix’s Chilling Adventures of Sabrina before the Prime Video series. His persona frequently served as both Sabrina’s confidant and conscience, protecting her from harm even if he was concerned that her actions would endanger her.
For the actor, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina was his first big role. He had previously disclosed to THR that he had gone through several auditions before landing the role of Riverdale’s Jughead Jones, which eventually went to Cole Sprouse. But Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, the man behind Riverdale and Sabrina, saw something special in Perdomo and decided to cast him as Ambrose.
The actor claimed, “[I] did some self-tapes, and I got quite a few rounds, and I had no idea how close I got.” “They remembered me, and I didn’t realize it until much later, when Roberto said something like, ‘Brother, do you realize how close you got?'” You were almost there.
