A touching development was seen when Millie Bobby Brown and Jake Bongiovi formally tied the knot! People magazine had reported that the 20-year-old “Stranger Things” actress and her 22-year-old beau—who happens to be the son of renowned rocker Jon Bon Jovi—exchanged vows in a covert ceremony. The couple’s closest family members attended their intimate, romantic private wedding. People magazine claimed that Brown’s parents, as well as Jon Bon Jovi and his wife Dorothea Bongiovi, were present to witness the private event.
Millie And Jake: The Love Story
Later this year, the newlyweds intend to host a bigger celebration with more family and friends. After Bongiovi posted a cute selfie with Brown on Instagram in June 2021, romantic rumors about the two of them took off.
They were merely friends at first, but their friendship soon developed into a romantic one.
The two were spotted holding hands in New York City around the end of June 2021. Shortly after, they attended a number of red-carpet events together, such as the 2022 BAFTA Film Awards and the debut of Brown’s popular Netflix series, “Stranger Things.”
The “Enola Holmes” actress referred to Bongiovi as her “partner for life” in a moving Instagram post at the beginning of 2023, laying the groundwork for an engagement announcement in April.
“I’ve loved you three summers now, honey, I want ’em all,” is a phrase from Taylor Swift’s song “Lover,” which Brown paired with a stunning black-and-white picture of the couple hugging.
The Couple Comments On Their Relationship
Social media users were moved by the post, and a few weeks later, Jon Bon Jovi openly endorsed the pair on Radio Andy.
Jon Bon Jovi said, “I don’t know if age matters,” as he thought back on their engagement. My genuine suggestion is that growing together is good if you find the correct spouse and do so.” He continued by calling Millie “wonderful” and Jake “very, very happy.”
Brown revealed glimpses of her preparations as their wedding day drew near, expressing her enthusiasm but withholding specifics.
She emphasized the need for privacy by saying, “There are only so many moments in life that you get only once,” in an interview that People magazine was able to secure.
According to People magazine, Brown’s co-star on “Stranger Things,” Matthew Modine, officiated the wedding, giving it a distinctive twist.
