A sufficient number of CCTV cameras have been put in and around the Red Fort, according to police Manoj Kumar Meena, DCP North Delhi, who was speaking to a news outlet. He stressed that employing advanced analytics will greatly lower the likelihood of security arrangement errors.
Meena went on to say that any issues will be promptly addressed and that the analytics will be attentively watched. According to officials, an array of questionable behaviors can be recognized by the new technology. For instance, the analytics will promptly notify the monitoring staff if an unsecured bag is found close to the Red Fort. In order to spot trends like recurring presence in particular locations or odd behavior, the system may also track and analyze individual movements.
Red Fort Split Up Into Several Zones
The region around the Red Fort has been split up into several zones, each of which has security cameras installed, to bolster security even more. On the grounds of the Red Fort, a makeshift control room has been established, and different security services are on duty 24 hours a day to supervise activities and plan reactions.
As part of the heightened security measures, more than 10,000 security personnel, including Delhi Police officers and paramilitary forces, will be deployed in and around the Red Fort and other key locations in central and north Delhi.
Recently, a team from central intelligence agencies, along with other security agencies, conducted a security review meeting at the Red Fort in preparation for the Independence Day event.
The review meeting, held against the backdrop of a recent attack on former U.S. President Donald Trump during a public event, led to the decision to implement additional security measures to ensure a higher level of vigilance at this high-profile event, according to reliable sources provided.
