Ram Mandir Inauguration Holiday: Union Minister Jitendra Singh has said that on January 22, in honour of the Ram Temple Pran Pratishtha celebration, all central government offices would be closed. In honour of the opening of the Ram temple in Ayodhya, other states have also declared holidays, including Uttar Pradesh, Goa, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Haryana.
Pran Pratishtha Celebration On January 22
In observance of the Ram Mandir Pran Patishtha celebration on January 22, all central government offices will be closed for two hours, till 2:30 pm, according to an announcement made by the Centre on Thursday.
“On the occasion of the Ram Temple pran pratishtha ceremony, the Central Government of India announces a half-day closure until 2:30 pm at all Central Government offices, Central institutions, and Central industrial establishments throughout India due to the overwhelming sentiment of the employees and their requests.
To commemorate the consecration event of the Ram temple at Ayodhya, public sector banks, insurance firms, financial institutions, and regional rural banks (RRBs) would be closed for half a day throughout India. The Department of Personnel and Training (DOPT) issued an order for central government establishments, which has guided this decision. Banks in the private sector, meanwhile, have not announced any plans for a break on January 22. Customers are urged to inquire about the most recent developments in this regard with their local branches.
“The Ram Lalla Pran Pratishtha at Ayodhya will be celebrated on January 22, 2024, across India,” the directive declares. It has been agreed that all central government offices, central institutions, and central industrial units throughout India will close for a half day on January 22, 2024, until 1430 hours, to allow staff to take part in the festivities.”
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will preside over the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony for the new idol of Ram Lalla on Monday.
