Actor Firoz Khan, who gained notoriety for mimicking Amitabh Bachchan, passed away from a heart attack. According to India TV, the actor passed away on Thursday, May 23, in Badaun, Uttar Pradesh. On Instagram, one of his friends also verified the information.

The popular Shah Rukh Khan impersonator Durga Rahikwar announced the news of Firoz’s passing on Instagram with the caption, “Aaj hamare beech Feroz Khan bhaijaan (Jr. Amitabh Bachchan) nahi rahe.” (Firoz Khan, once known as Jr. Amitabh Bachchan, has passed away.) In addition, he posted an old photo of him and Firoz posing at a performance with Kapil Sharma.
Aasif Sheikh Comments On Firzon Khan
In an exclusive interview with ETimes TV, his Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai co-star and seasoned actor Aasif Sheikh disclosed that Firoz was dealing with family matters. Aasif further mentioned that three days prior, Firoz had called, but he had missed the call and was now upset with himself for not returning the call.
Speaking of Firoz, Aasif revealed that the late actor had moved to his birthplace of Badaun, Uttar Pradesh, after quitting his role in a TV series. He stated, “Earlier he used to come regularly for the shoot. When suddenly he stopped coming, I asked my director to call him. Then my director informed me that he had called him for the shoot but he refused to come and said he had quit acting. He had some family issue so he had left Mumbai and shifted to Badaun, in Uttar Pradesh his hometown.”
Firoz Khan: Career And Professional Life
According to the India TV story, Firoz spent some time in Badaun and even participated in some of the events. He was working hard on clips for social media, too. His final appearance was on May 4 at the Voter Mahotsav at Badaun Club, when he amused the crowd while dressing like Amitabh. Firoz’s funeral is reportedly scheduled to happen in Badaun.
Firoz gained popularity on the TV series Bhabi Ji Ghar Pe Hai, but his main claim to fame was his imitation of Amitabh. Additionally, he contributed to the television series Shaktimaan, Saheb Bibi Aur Boss, Jija Ji Chhat Par Hai, and Happu Ki Ultan Paltan. Firoz gained notoriety for his role in the smash hit song Thodi Si Tu Lift Kara De by Adnan Sami. Just one day ago, on Wednesday, Firoz posted a reel to his Instagram page in which he was clothed as Coolie’s Amitabh.
