Kriti Sanon is one actor who made it on her own terms in the Hindi film industry. The actor made her debut in Bollywood opposite Tiger Shroff in Heropanti and has gone on to star in several hit films in the last few years. The actor attended a masterclass at the ongoing 55th International Film Festival in Goa, where she talked about nepotism. As per a report by DNA, she said that industry is ‘not so much’ responsible for nepotism, and it is a cycle that involves the media and audience also.
Kriti Sanon On Nepotism
Kriti stated during the masterclass session: “I don’t think the industry bears a lot of the blame for nepotism. The audience and the media are also involved. The media’s portrayal of certain celebrity children is what viewers desire to see. The industry believes that since the audience is interested in them, creating a film with them is a good idea. Thus, I believe it to be a circle. However, I believe that if you have talent, you will succeed. You will not succeed if you lack talent and if you don’t connect with the audience.
“It takes time to get there when you don’t belong to a film background,” she continued. You need time to acquire the opportunities you desire. Even getting those magazine covers takes time. As a result, everything is somewhat difficult. But after two or three movies, nothing can stop you if you are persistent and hard at work.”
Do Patti
Since 2014, Kriti has acted in several movies, including Housefull 4, Raabta, Dilwale, Luka Chuppi, and Bareilly Ki Barfi. Her most recent appearance was in Do Patti, which also starred Kajol and Shaheer Shaikh. It was the first project produced under Blue Butterfly Films, her new production company.
Shashanka Chaturvedi is the director and Kanika Dhillon is the writer of the 2024 Indian Hindi-language mystery thriller Do Patti (literally, “Two Cards”). Shaheer Sheikh, Kriti Sanon, and Kajol are its main actors. Sanon’s first production endeavor is the movie. On October 25, 2024, it debuted on Netflix to largely unfavorable reviews, with some praising Sanon’s dual-shaded performance.
