The actor who plays Abhishek Tripathi in “Panchayat 3,” Jitendra Kumar, was said to have left the show before it premiered because of a disagreement with the production company TVF. Jitendra discussed this and how he was bothered by all the hubbub in an exclusive conversation with IndiaToday.in.

“Panchayat,” which has Jitendra in the lead role, also stars Raghubir Yadav and Neena Gupta. The TVF series takes a satirical look at societal and political concerns while setting itself in the fictional Phulera village. Jitendra’s role, who portrays the show’s Sachiv (secretary) to Pradhan (chief), tells the story.
Jitendra Kumar Comments Fallout Speculations
“There was a lot of panic and I could see that all over social media. The last season ended on Abhishek’s transfer and that also spurred the buzz further. There was a misunderstanding, and honestly, main bhi pareshan ho jata tha (I would get troubled) answering the same questions. At one point, I was like aur mat poochon, bandh karo yeh (don’t ask about it, end it now),” Jitendra shared with a laugh.
The actor went on to say that the news did not have a significant impact on him because he was already getting ready for the upcoming season and knew it was false. He added, “Given that I have had a long association with TVF, people were worried about what went wrong. I understood it’s their love and we just waited for the first trailer to end all speculations.”
Regarding the larger following he attracted from “Panchayat,” the actor mentioned that “Shubh Mangal Savdhaan” and the online series both debuted in 2020 at roughly the same time. “The youth knew me, thanks to all the sketches I have done before. But with the film, the family audience identified me. So, when ‘Panchayat’ dropped later, there was more curiosity among them. However, yes, it has been a gradual one and is growing with every project that I do,” Jitendra added.
