APULIA: On the heels of the just concluded G7 Summit meeting in Italy, Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni of Italy posted a video of herself with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The video, in which Meloni greets the camera with a “Hello from the Melodi team” while PM Modi waves, was posted on social media by the actress. In the video, Meloni shared on social media on X and Instagram, where the two leaders can be seen laughing together.
“Hello friends, from #Melodi,” Meloni posted on Twitter. One of the most popular trends on X was the hashtag.
Alongside PM Modi, the Italian prime minister, Silvio Meloni, took a selfie during the G7 conference that ended in Italy on Friday.
Several internet memes have been inspired by the presidents’ friendship, which was evident at their prior meetings at the COP28 in Dubai and the G20 Summit in Delhi last year. The two presidents took a photo in December of last year while attending the COP28 in Dubai.
“Good friends at COP28, #Melodi,” Meloni had written on X, where she had shared the photo with PM Modi. Online platforms have seen a large number of shares of photos featuring the two leaders together, and the hashtag “Melodi” has become popular.
PM Modi And Minister Reunites At The G7 Summit.
Prime Minister Modi and Minister Meloni spoke about defence and security cooperation between their two nations during their bilateral meeting held on the fringes of the G7 Summit.
“The two sides hoped to enhance the defence industrial collaboration further and discussed bilateral cooperation in security and defence.” The Ministry of External Affairs issued an official statement stating that they “welcomed the impending visit of the Italian aircraft carrier ITS Cavour and training ship ITS Vespucci to India later this year.”
Along with noting that “India will be upgrading the Yashwant Ghadge Memorial at Montone in Italy,” PM Modi also expressed gratitude to the Italian government for acknowledging the role the Indian Army played in the Italian Campaign during World War II.
Along with reviewing the developments of the India-Italy Strategic Partnership, PM Modi and his Italian colleague expressed delight over the ongoing higher political discourse. Meloni also congratulated Prime Minister Modi on winning a third term in office.
In order to create resilient supply chains, they advocated for extending commercial links in renewable energy, manufacturing, space, science and technology, communication, artificial intelligence, and essential minerals, even as they expressed joy at the growth of trade and economic cooperation. The MEA release stated, “In this regard, they applauded the recent signing of an MoU on Industrial Property Rights (IPR), which offers a framework for collaboration on patents, designs, and trademarks.
The signing of the Letter of Intent for Cooperation in Energy Transition, which will enhance bilateral cooperation in clean and green energy, was hailed by the two presidents during the meeting. Under the “Global Biofuels Alliance,” it was noted.
