A Controversial Move In The Midst Of Israel Vs Gaza
Danon recorded Haley’s support efforts, including a trip to southern Israel to meet with survivors of the Hamas onslaught on October 7, which claimed over 1,200 lives and kidnapped 253 captives. Haley traveled with Likud party member Danon, who is a bit of a hawk, to Israel’s northern border with Lebanon.
Haley’s statement is being made in the midst of Israel’s continuous military assault in Gaza, which has claimed the lives of over 36,000 Palestinians, including over 15,000 children. Following the Hamas offensive on southern Israel on October 7, which resulted in 1,189 Israeli deaths—mostly civilian deaths—and 252 hostages—121 of whom are still in Gaza—the battle came to an end.
Nikki Haley Criticizes Biden Administration
Haley criticized the Biden administration during her visit for delaying an Israeli strike on Rafah in southern Gaza by withholding munitions. The International Criminal Court (ICC) and the International Court of Justice (ICJ), which are investigating allegations against Israel, were also denounced by her.
“America loves Israel,” Haley said, emphasizing her message on the missile. “What America needs to understand is if Israel’s fighting our enemies, how can we not help them?”
Haley argued against arming companies withholding and backing foreign organizations that denounce Israel. “America must stop dictating to Israel how to wage this war and instead provide for its needs. Haley told reporters, “You are either a friend or not a friend.”
Nikki Haley And Her Failed Presidential Run
Haley pulled out of the presidential candidacy in March following her defeat by Donald Trump in the primary elections. Though Haley has previously called Trump “dangerous” and unsuitable to hold office, she is now endorsing him in the forthcoming election. Haley is still a possible candidate for the 2028 presidential election, despite Trump ruling her out as a vice presidential candidate.
Following a deadly strike on Rafah, the White House said on Tuesday that President Joe Biden has no intentions to change his Israel policy. However, they also emphasized that Biden is not ignoring the situation facing Palestinian civilians.
