The first image, which depicts how families are still grieving after the terror attack on the Jewish nation on October 7, 2023, was shared by the Israeli government on X on October 3. “On October 7, grandparents Margit and Yossi were killed. Israel stated on X that Yarden, Shiri, Kfir, and Ariel are still being kept captive in Gaza.
According to an Oxfam report cited by Al Jazeera English, “Israel has killed more children in the Gaza Strip over the past 12 months than the equivalent period of any other war in the last two decades.” Al Jazeera English released the second image.

One thing, at the very least, people on opposing sides of the debate will agree on: the Middle East has seen a year of death and destruction.

There has also been an image war. As October 7, the day that threw the Middle East into pandemonium the previous year, approaches, that will only become worse. Unlike the Ukraine-Russia theater, the Middle East war is rife with symbolism. Actually, the largest one occurs on October 7.
It was October 7, when terrorists from Hamas launched a surprise raid into Israel, killing hundreds of Israelis and releasing dozens more hostages into Gaza. It was the Yom Kippur War’s 50th anniversary. The most holy day in Judaism is Yom Kippur. Yom Kippur fell on October 6, 1973.

1973 To The Abraham Accords

In 1973, when the Jewish world was observing the holy holiday of Yom Kippur, the forces of a coalition of Arab nations, led by Egypt and Syria, launched a surprise attack. The fourth Arab-Israeli conflict, or Yom Kippur conflict, was started to exact revenge for the humiliation the Arab world endured during the 1967 war. Israel, with American military assistance, emerged victorious in the conflict that lasted until October 26.

The historic Camp David agreement, which put an end to three decades of hostilities between Egypt and Israel, was signed during the Yom Kippur War.

Egypt has fought in every Arab-Israeli war by that point. The 2020 Abrahamic Accords followed. It contributed to the thawing of relations between Israel and several Arab nations, including Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Morocco, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
