Ajay Devgn’s commercial action film Singham Again and Kartik Aaryan’s much anticipated horror-comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 will square off at the box office this Diwali. According to media sources, both movies have landed significant deals with OTT services ahead of their theatrical debut. With an estimated Rs 130 crore from its digital partner Amazon Prime, Singham Again is Ajay Devgn’s and Rohit Shetty’s largest-ever OTT contract.
Singham Again
It’s a big movie, so it’s a big deal. The total amount of non-theatrical sales is between Rs 180 and 200 crore, with an additional Rs 50 to 70 crore coming from satellite and music, according to a source cited by Bollywood Hungama.
According to sources, Singham Again has secured a non-theatrical agreement with Jio Cinema that encompasses digital, satellite, and musical rights, valued at around Rs 200 crore. With print and advertising expenses excluded, the enormous budget of Rs 350–375 crore has been allocated for Ajay Devgn’s next film.
Singham Again, directed by Rohit Shetty, is a follow-up to the 2014 movie Singham Returns and the fifth installment in Shetty’s Cop Universe. The Ramayana is the central theme of Singham Again. Ajay Devgn, Deepika Padukone, Jackie Shroff, Kareena Kapoor, and Arjun Kapoor all play prominent roles in the movie. Tiger Shroff, Akshay Kumar, and Ranveer Singh also make brief appearances in Singham Again.
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, which is directed by Anees Bazmee, centers on Rooh Baba, who confronts Manjulika after entering a haunted mansion. The film stars Triptii Dimri, Vidya Balan, Madhuri Dixit, Vijay Raaz, Rajpal Yadav, Sanjay Mishra, and Manish Wadhwa in addition to Kartik Aaryan. On November 1st of this year, both movies are scheduled for release in theaters across the globe.
While Singham Again has made more money than Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, the next Kartik Aaryan movie has recovered its budget more quickly. According to Sacnilk, Kartik Aaryan’s forthcoming film’s digital, satellite, and soundtrack rights were sold for about Rs 135 crore.
