Just a few hours after her ex-husband, Naga Chaitanya announced his engagement to actress Sobhita Dhulipala, Samantha Ruth Prabhu made her first social media post. Instead of making a clear criticism of the interaction, the post highlighted a story honoring the Indian hockey team’s great performance at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.
The Indian Team Took Home A Bronze Medal
After defeating Spain 2-1 in an exciting match on Friday, the Indian team took home a bronze medal. Samantha had also posted an Instagram story earlier in the day with a broken heart emoji in reference to wrestler Vinesh Phogat’s announcement of his retirement.
The couple that had been the focus of dating rumors for more than a year, Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala, were engaged on Thursday morning in a secret ceremony at Chaitanya’s house. In front of their immediate family, the pair exchanged rings. The famous Nagarjuna, the father of Naga Chaitanya, announced the engagement on his X (formerly Twitter) account shortly after it was announced, along with the couple’s initial engagement pictures.

When Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita were first photographed together in Hyderabad in May of the previous year, there had been rumblings about their romance. Sobhita reportedly celebrated her birthday with Chaitanya and friends while she was promoting her movie Major. The couple’s romance drew more attention after a widely shared image from their June vacation in Europe appeared to show them having a wine tasting, which fuelled rumors about them.
