On Thursday, actor Noor Malabika Das was discovered deceased in her Lokhandwala apartment. Authorities believe the actor, 37, committed suicide. Her body was found, allegedly, after neighbors noticed a bad stench coming from her flat. She was found dead in a decayed state, requiring police to break in.

On Monday, ANI stated, “Actor Noor Malabika Das’s body was found in her Andheri, Oshiwara neighborhood, home in a decomposed state. Noor Malabika Das committed suicide by hanging herself from the house’s ceiling fan. The neighbors alerted the police when they noticed a bad stench coming from the house, and when they arrived, they transported the body to the Mumbai Police autopsy.”
According to a Mid-Day report, on June 6, authorities found Noor Malabika Das’s death in her Lokhandwala apartment. During the course of the house search, the cops allegedly gathered her cell phone, medication, and journal. The report also stated that the body was transported to Siddharth hospital in Goregaon for a post-mortem following a panchnama.
The Last Rites
The Mamdani Health and Education Trust NGO, which manages the cremation of unclaimed bodies in the city, helped the police on Sunday execute her final rites after no one came forward despite efforts to contact her family, according to the Mid-Day story.

Who Was Noor Malabika Das?
Ms. Das worked as a hostess for Qatar Airways in the past. However, she rose to fame for her performance with Kajol in Suparn Verma’s 2023 judicial thriller, The Trial. Gharwali Baharwali, which was released on May 21 and directed by Sangit Gaikar, was her last movie. Noor Malabika Das has also contributed to the projects Backroad Hustle, Siskiyaan, Walkaman, Teekhi Chatni, Jaghanya Upaya, Charamsukh, and Dekhi Andekhi.
Furthermore, she loved working out, and she would post images and videos of her workouts to Instagram to interact with her followers. Noor Malabika Das grew up in Assam, where she was born.
