Ben Potter, a well-known YouTuber with over 3 million followers on his “Comicstorian” channel, where he offered his thoughts on the newest films with a comic book theme, passed away after a fatal accident, his wife revealed.
Ben Potter, 40, died on Saturday in what his wife, Nathalie Potter, revealed on the channel’s X account as an “unfortunate accident,” without going into further details about what happened. In 2014, Potter launched the “Comicstorian” channel, where he posted audio dramas based on comic books. One day before he passed away, on Friday, Potter uploaded his most recent video, which had close to 200,000 views.

“To many of you, he was Comicstorian, voicing stories from across multiple different mediums. To his loved ones, he was one of the best and most supportive individuals anyone could ask for. As a husband, a son, a brother, a friend, or even just a stranger, Ben was loving and genuine,” Nathalie Potter wrote on X.
“He was someone who would listen and make time for his loved ones. He would do his best to make everyone laugh and make sure they were okay. He was our rock and he’d reassure his loved ones whenever they needed it,” she continued, adding, “He was my world.”
In light of the fact that the family is grieving together, Natalie Potter requested seclusion. She clarified, “At this time, protecting everything he’s built is my top priority. I don’t have any plans beyond that.” One of her husband’s greatest achievements, according to Nathalie, is his YouTube account.
Ben has devoted more than a decade to sharing his passion and admiration for his pastimes. He first became active on YouTube because he loved compelling narratives and well-developed characters, the source stated.
In order to “continue telling great stories by great people, as well as to keep the memory of our very own superhero alive,” Nathalie stated that she and Potter’s staff wish to keep the channel running in his honor. “I’m not going to stop now; we supported each other on everything we wanted to do,” she said in closing.
