Prime Minister Narendra Modi criticized the Congress a day after the party unveiled its manifesto for the Lok Sabha election, claiming it bore the “stamp of the Muslim League and the Left”. PM Modi declared the manifesto to be a “bundle of lies” that “neither has policies in national interest nor a vision for national development” while speaking at election rallies in Pushkar, Rajasthan, and Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh.
PM Modi Accuses Congress
Mr. Modi accused the Congress of attempting to impose the viewpoint of the Muslim League on modern-day India, claiming that the paper revealed the party’s “true face” and that every page included ideas that may “potentially divide the country into shards.” He said that leftist philosophy dominated the other sections of the manifesto.
In addition, the prime minister declared that his government would continue to fight corruption and would take stronger measures to eradicate it within the first 100 days of its third term. He also mentioned that plans for more significant choices on this front had begun. “In the past ten years, all we have accomplished is a trailer.” Much more is yet to come, Mr. Modi declared.
He also chastised the Congress for not attending the Ayodhya Ram temple’s consecration. “Against the visit to the Ram temple’s consecration? Is this appropriate? In addition, anyone who visited would have been banned from the Congress party for six years. Is this possible in this nation? Could you picture the nation without Lord Ram? “Lord Ram has a permanent abode,” Mr. Modi continued. It’s almost Rama Navami, and people will be celebrating. Let’s see how strongly you object.
Driven By A Mission
In an attempt to win over minority voters in Saharanpur, Mr. Modi claimed that because “our schemes don’t differentiate between beneficiaries,” his government was implementing true secularism and social justice.
At his rally, Mr. Modi backed the BJP candidates in Kairana and Saharanpur, where the Muslim vote might be crucial. The Bahujan Samaj Party won Saharanpur, but the BJP won the Kairana seat in 2019. The first phase of voting in Saharanpur is scheduled for April 19.
While “the Congress is working to earn a commission, the BJP is driven by a mission,” Mr. Modi claimed that the INDIA bloc parties were “saving” the corrupt. He spoke on the goals of his ministry, highlighting the building of the Ram Temple, the repeal of Article 370, and the legislation prohibiting Triple Talaq.
