In India, Ather has introduced the Rizta, a new electric scooter designed with families in mind. This is the company’s first entirely new scooter in years, and it adds to the lineup of electric scooters in the Ather 450 series. There are two versions of the Rizta: S and Z. This is the main idea behind the new Ather Rizta.
The Rizta: The Appearance
Starting with the styling, the Rizta adopts a more conservative style compared to its more aggressive, sportier-looking 450-series brothers. A horizontally arranged headlamp cluster with integrated turn signals and DRLs makes up the front apron. Ather has attempted to combine form and function with Rizta’s design, resulting in a neatly integrated side and tail panel. Like the headlight, the tail light is shaped like a bar and fits well into the bodywork. All things considered, a broad age range of people should find appeal in Rizta’s design.
Additionally, Ather’s Rizta is the biggest electric scooter that it has produced. The business claims that its 900-mm-long seat is the largest of any scooter in India. There’s a sizable boot underneath the seat that can accommodate a number of things, such as groceries, office bags, umbrellas, etc. In front of the main storage area, there’s a handy tiny storage container where you may store lost change, wallets, or cleaning clothes. Additionally, Ather will be selling a flexible frunk with 22 liters of capacity that fasten to the back of the apron. The Rizta has 56 liters of room overall, including a 34-liter underseat storage area.
Battery Life And Endurance
Regarding the batteries, there are two sizes available. With a 2.9 kWh battery, the Rizta S can travel 105 kilometers in real range. There are two battery options for the Rizta Z: the larger 3.7kWh battery with a genuine range of 125km and the 2.9kW battery found on the ‘S’. A standard five-year/60,000-kilometer guarantee is included with the battery. Ather continues, “The Rizta boasts an IP67 rating and a convenient 400mm water wading capability.”
The Rizta Under-Seat Charger And More
One of the standout features is the wireless under-seat charger for the Ather Halo smart helmet, which charges the helmet’s batteries by magnetically adhering to the back of the helmet when it is stored in the boot. Additionally, it can be used to transfer power to a portable power bank attachment, which can subsequently be used to charge portable electronics like laptops and cell phones.
The Ather Rizta has an impressively long list of features. A 7-inch color TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity and navigation is included with the Z model. Compared to the 450X, it offers a different UI. The ‘deepview’ LCD display found in the Ather 450S is also available on the Rizta S.
The Rizta only offers two ride modes, Smart Eco and Zip, in contrast to the 450X. But you get auto hill hold and reverse mode, just like the 450X. The electric scooter is said to have a top speed of 80 kmph.
