The iPhone 16 series won’t likely be released by Apple for another five months. But it seems that leakers have already reached a consensus over the smartphones that Apple plans to market under the iPhone 16 moniker.
The iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max are currently anticipated to be released by Apple as direct replacements for the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max.
Apple iPhone 16 Series Leaked Images
Leaked images of mockup units provided by tipster Sonny Dickson suggest the design of the upcoming iPhone 16 series. These pictures showcase the new rear camera setups. The vertical position found in the regular iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus models is especially noteworthy, as it deviates from the diagonal configuration of the iPhone 13 series.
The insider claims that the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus appear to have a pill-shaped camera setup, while the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max are expected to have somewhat larger proportions. This redesign will most likely improve the visual appeal.
The new Capture Button, which is supposedly pressure-sensitive, is another of Apple’s first “tactic” solid-state buttons, and it comes with all four devices. There are rumors that the Capture Button will be able to perform other camera operations, such as zooming, as it supports gesture controls.
The Action Button
One of the biggest changes is that every phone in the series now has an action button. The button took the place of the conventional mute button on the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max last year. One point of entry to perform designated actions is the new Action Button. This button will help app developers and end users alike by enabling them to appropriately alter their products.
It seems that Apple will ultimately return to the vertical twin camera configuration it used on the iPhone X, but only for non-Pro models. Furthermore, it is said that Pro models are slightly larger than non-Pro variants. This year’s Pro and Pro Max iPhones measure 6.3 inches and 6.9 inches, respectively, with a diagonal width of 0.2 inches.
The Apple iPhone Series
The iOS mobile operating system is exclusive to Apple Inc. and is used by the iPhone brand of devices. Steve Jobs, the CEO of Apple at the time, unveiled the first-generation iPhone on January 9, 2007. Since then, Apple has launched new versions of iOS and new iPhone models every year. More than 2.2 billion iPhones had been sold as of November 1, 2018.
